Myanmar U-22 team players training session start

The selected U-22 team created and they start training session on 13 January in Yangon. The team will participate within the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship qualifiers. Youth players from football clubs of Myanmar National League are given training two days every week . Team selections are being made and play for the international tune-up matches. Myanmar is included within the Group F of the qualifiers in China (Taipei) in March this year along side Australia, Hong Kong and China (Taipei).

The 3rd SEA Championship 2014 celebrated for the third day at Nay Pyi Taw Wunna Theikdi Gymnasium A.At the prize presentation ceremony, Union Minister for Sports U Tint Hsan presented first, second and joint third prizes to Myanmar, Vietnam and Laos & the Philippines within the men’s singles weaponless event. Deputy Minister U Thaung Htaik also gave first, second and third prizes to Myanmar, Vietnam and Cambodia within the women’s weaponless event. Deputy Minister U Zaw Win awarded first, second and third prizes to Laos, Vietnam and Myanmar within the men’s stick event.

Officials presented the prizes to all of the winners within the mens 51-kilo attack event, women’s 50-kilo attack event, men’s doubles event and women’s quadruple weaponless event.According to the standing table. The 3rd SEA Vovinam Championship 2014 continued at the Wunna Theikdi Gymnasium A in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.Athletes participated within the women’s doubles weaponless attack event, four-man attack event, women’s 57-kilo attack, men’s 54-kilo attack, women’s singles sword , women’s 51-kilo attack, men’s 57-kilo attack and four-man attack events.Deputy Minister for Sports U Zaw Win.

A ceremony to donate equipment for Wushu sport was held at the hall of the Mandalay Region Sports and education Department in Mandalay on 24 December.Deputy Consul General Ms Ji Yiling of Chinese Consulate-General in Mandalay explained that China’s donation was aimed toward enabling the Mandalay Region Wushu team to realize victory within the 4th National Sports Festival 2015. Region Minister for Finance U Win Ko Ko and officials presented prizes to the winners.Volleyball, Sepak Takraw, Ping-Pong and badminton events happened at Naung Yoe gymnasiums while, tennis contest was held at the Myaungmya.The union minister presented championship trophies to women’s and men’s teams within the basketball tournament at Myaungmya BEHS No 6. He also awarded winners within the golf event at Mya Ayeya golf club.

In commemoration of the December sports activities, a prize presentation for the winners within the sports contests 2014 conducted by Mandalay District General Administration Department happened at the sports ground in Mahaaungmye Township on 27 December.Departmental officials awarded winners within the essay, poem and poster contests to mark the sports month of December. Township administrators of the district presented prizes to the winners within the traditional sports events. District’s deputy commissioner U Win Zaw Naing and officials gave awards to winners within the Sepak Takraw, volleyball and Htoke-see-toe events.

The mayor also presented trophies and cash awards to Myint Swe with 213 within the senior professional event and Maung Maung Oo with 282 within the amateur event and trophy and K2 million to Ye Htet Aung with 274 within the professional event.The joint secretary of Mandalay City Development Committee awarded winners within the photo contest. Officials presented most par, most birdie, longest drive, nearest to pin and other awards to the winners.
A total of 26 professional golfers, 24 senior professional golfers, 177 men amateurs and 36 women amateurs participated within the golf tournament.

Min Hein Khant was received (Ministry of Environmental Conservation and Forestry) the title in men’s singles Kata event, the Ministry of ECF in the inter-club Kata event, San Toe (YCDC) in the 55-kilo Kumite event, Myint Maung Maung Hein (Defence Ministry) in the 60-kilo Kumite event, Aung Kyaw Soe (Sports Ministry) in the 67-kilo Kumite event, Aye Chan Naing (Ministry of ECF) in the 75-kilo Kumite event, Zaw Htet Wai (Defence Ministry) in the 84-kilo event and the Ministry of ECF in the inter-club Kumite event.In the junior class, Both winning best player awards.hamudaya Maung thrashed No Two 5-2 in Aungmye Mandalay Sports Ground.A total of 27 football clubs including the Sports and Physical Education Institute (Mandalay) are participating in nine groups.The second-round knockout matches will be held from 7 to 17 December at the designated venues.The teams are battling for the K1 million first prize and the K700,000 second prize. In addition, a best player award of K30,000 will be given to the best player in each place, while the player of the tournament will receive K50,000.

On Tuesday.District Education Officer Daw Kyi Kyi Mar gave words of encouragement to the students to become selected for state-level competitions.Primary students from four townships of Thaton District participated in the 50-m, 100-m and 200-m races, high jump, long jump and football events.Township Administrator U Tun Tun Naing, the district education officer and officials presented prizes to the winners in respective events.

Under the leadership of head coach Daw Thet Thet Win, assistant coach Daw San San Thein and goal coach U Ko Ko Aung, the Myanmar women’s team has been lined up with goalkeepers Mya Phu Ngon and Khin Thida Aye, defenders Khin Than Wai, Zin Mar Win, Wai Wai Aung, Phu Pwint Khaing, Zargyi Oo, Nang Kyay Ngon, Aye Aye Moe and Chit Chit, midfielders San San Maw, Than Than Htwe, Naw Ahlo Wah Phaw, Khin Moe Wai and Yupa Khaing, forwards Yi Yi Oo, Daw Khin Marlar Tun, Daw Win Theingi Tun & Daw May Thu Kyaw , Daw Khin Nway Nway Shwe.
