Yangon Win 3-1 victory over Yadanarbon, IN MNL Derby

U Min Tun Lin, Yangon United yesterday bagged their full points at their home with a 3-1 win over Yadanarbon FC. As the match was a derby one, both teams launched furious attacks from the kick-off.

Yangon’s Kaung Htet Soe, Barfo, and Aboubacar found the winning goals while opponent responded a goal in the second half by Yadnarbon star Hlaing Bo Bo. Yangon United forced to play from the start and found their opening goal at 15 minutes while Mg Mg Win passed the ball to his teammate Kaung Htet Soe who scored the keeper upward to achieve the first goal for Yangon. After the goal, Yangon United created some goal opportunities but failed to invert goal result, and the first half was ended with 1-0 lead by Yangon.

The second half saw new tactics used by both teams. Yangon was eager to score more goals from the second-half start and, Yangon’s Barfo netted the second goal via the support of MgMg Lwin and Min Kyaw Khant. After 2-0, Yadanarbon pulled back a goal with a foul ball kick of Hlaing Bo Bo at 77 minutes. Though, Yangon made a sure winning goal at 85 minutes with a fabulous header of Aboubacar. The 3-1 result makes Yangon United celebrate at the final whistle and see smiling faces of the team with bagging full points. In another MNL match, Ayeyawady United drew 1-1 with Southern Myanmar FC while Hantharwady United won 1-0 over ISPE FC.

The two derby matches: Shan United Vs Hantharwady United and Yangon United vs Magwe FC will be played on 7 September, and Yadanarbon FC vs Ayeyawady United match on 8 September.
Defending champion Shan United will play against Hantharwady United, which is now standing table first place sitter, at Yangon United Sports Complex on 7 September, also streaming live on MyCujoo application starting from 3:30 pm, said the source with the MNL. Another great match to be played at the same time at Padonmar Stadium is Sagaing United vs Rakhine United match, and the game will also be streamed live on MyCujoo application, MNL stated. In the meantime, Yangon United will play with Magwe FC as a derby match at Thuwunna Stadium at 3:30 pm, and the contest will be broadcast live on Myawady Channel and streamed live on MyCujoo application.
On 8 September, everyone will see another derby match: Yadanarbon FC vs Ayeyawady United scheduled to play at Thuwunna Stadium and the game will also be streamed live on MyCujoo application, football authorities said. Another exciting match on the same day will be ISPE FC vs Southern Myanmar FC, and their meet will be broadcast live on Myawady Channel and streamed live on MyCujoo application, MNL stated

Yangon United beat Sagaing United 3-1 in Week-13 of Myanmar National League played yesterday at the Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon. Myo Min Phyo, Kaung Htet Soe and Kyi Lin scored winning goals for Yangon. Myo Min Phyo scored a single goal for Sagaing United. Head coach, U Min Tun Lin’s Yangon United, lined up with his favourite players’ captain cum keeper Kyaw Zin Htet, Yan Naing Oo, Barfo, Shori, Kaung Htet Soe and Maung Maung Win.
On the contrary, head coach U Zaw Lin Tun’s Sagaing United used key players Captain Toe Sat Naing, keeper Kay Zin Hmue, Soulemanou Mandjombe and Patrick Gilles. Sagaing United did not fear of Yangon’s attacks and showed their best-attacking style at the very beginning of the match. With the team’s best understanding, Sagaing got an opening goal even at 13-minute mark. The goal was scored by Myo Min Phyo from the left side when Yangon United’s defenders were frozen under the fast attack style of Sagaing.

Yangon’s head coach changed tactic at 36-minute mark and thus Nyein Chan Aung and Kyi Lin came inside the match in places of Shori and Aung Kyaw Naing. With new players, Yangon’s attack was fresh again, and three minutes later, Yangon United got an equalizer when substituted Nyein Chan Aung delivered the ball to Kaung Htet Soe who was ready to send a ball in the net for Yangon United. Two minutes later, Sagaing defenders played roughly inside the penalty area, and Yangon United earned a penalty kick. The penalty was successfully kicked by substituted Kyi Lin to get the second goal for Yangon. At the break time, Yangon United led the match with 2-1.
The second half saw the better play of Yangon and the third goal for Yangon United was scored by Zarni Htet at 59 minutes over a missing ball of his teammate Nyein Chan Aung. Later minutes saw no goals by both teams, and the 3-1 win is enough for Yangon United to bag full points in MNL Week-13. In another match, defending champion Shan United thrashed Rakhine United 3-0.

Ayeyawady United win over Magway FC 5-0. Ayeyarwady United dominated the match from the start, exhibiting flawless defence and good tackling while Magway solely relied on their defence style play. Ayeyawady United led the match with the first goal scored by Than Htet Aung at 21-minute mark. After 1-0, Magway changed massive defence play plus counter-attack, and it made some difficulties for the Ayeyawady attackers to create goal chances. The first half was ended with 1-0 lead by Ayeyawady. The second half saw the new tactic of Ayeyawady, resulting in a better play.

With fast action, Kaung Myat Thu scored the second goal at 74 minutes, and Ayeyawady foreign player Success scored the third goal at 80 minutes by taking an opportunity over defence line errors. Next, the fourth goal came with Kaung Myat Thu’s score at 82 minutes. Before the final whistle, Ayeyawady United earned the fifth goal, and the goal was beautifully scored by local player Yar Zar Aung. Other matches saw ISPE FC beat Yadanarbon FC 1-0 and Hantharwady United won Southern Myanmar FC with lone goal.

The best coach award for March to August went to Hantharwady United head coach Myo Min Tun, according to the statement with the Myanmar National League yesterday. Head Coach Myo Min Tun received a trophy for the best head coach plus K150,000 as prize yesterday at Yangon United Sports Complex afternoon before Hantharwady United vs Southern Myanmar FC match.The awards were presented by Myanmar National League Chief Executive Officer U Soe Moe Kyaw and the prize was counted from Week-9 to Week-12 of the MNL matches. Myo Min Tun garnered the prize within a year for the second time, and he also won the best coach award in January 2020. Under the guidance of U Myo Min Tun, Bago-based Hantharwady United secured a no-loss result in the previous month.

Hlaing Bo Bo, captain and star player of the Yadanarbon FC, will miss a match against ISPE FC which will be played on today (3 September), according to a statement with the Myanmar National League. The captain has received three yellow fouls within this year MNL season, and this is the reason he could not play next match against ISPE FC.
Hlaing Bo Bo is playing for the midfield position and has played for previous ten consecutive matches. He took the captain role for his team from Week-1 to Week-6 of 2020 season Myanmar National League. The captain also scored two essential goals for his team and also assisting goal chances frequently. After playing ten matches, Yadanarbon FC is standing in sixth place with ten points garnered while ISPE is sitting in ninth place with four points earned. In their first-round meet, Yadanarbon beat ISPE 4-0.

Ayeyawady United big victory over Sagaing United 6-1. Head coach U Myo Hlaing Win’s Ayeyawady United yesterday lined up with Captain Thiha Zaw, Rapheal Success, Kyaw Zin Lwin, Captain Thiha Zaw, Thann Htet Aung and Lwin Moe Aung. In contrast, head coach U Zaw Lin Tun’s Sagaing United used key players Captain Toe Sat Naing, Friday Barnabas Akanmidu, Soulemanou Mandjombe and Htet Zaw Tun.

Ayeyawady players were brave enough to take full domination over opponents from the start of the match. Ayeyawady United got an early goal just after the kickoff, and the goal was beautifully scored by its foreign player Rapheal Success. The goal produced more energy for the team’s players, and Thann Htet Aung scored the second goal for the Ayeyawady United at 16 minutes. The first half ended with two goals leading by Ayeyawady United. Sagaing United launched their open attack at the very beginning of the second half while Ayeyawady were still dominating the remaining minutes of the second half with stable play. Sagaing United got a consolation goal at 48 minutes, and the goal was scored by Sagaing’s striker Patrick.

By using the power play and accurate passing, Rapheal Success again scored the third goal for his team at 52 minutes. Next, Win Naing Tun scored the fourth goal at 72 minutes, and the goal raised the tempo of their team. Again Thiha Zaw scored the fifth goal at 79 minutes, and Kaung Myat Thu scored the sixth goal at 81 minutes to end up the match. In the final whistle, Ayeyawady United’s players celebrated their sweet 6-1 victory over Sagaing United.
