MNL will restart Footballers, coaches undergo quarantine

All Myanmar National League (MNL) footballers and coaches, preparing to restart 2020 MPT MNL, are undergoing quarantine at the Yangon starting on 9 August. COVID-19 tests for the players are going to be conducted today in line with the quality procedure found out by the Ministry of Health and Sports, consistent with Shan United’s statement yesterday. 2020 Season was held yesterday at the meeting hall of the Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon.The meeting was attended by general secretary of Myanmar Football Federation U Ko Ko Thein, CEO of MNL U Soe Moe Kyaw, director of MFF Referee Department U Tun Hla Aung, director U Kyaw Lin Htwe, AFC match commissioner U Tun Tun Aung, MFF disciplinary member U Soe Myint, MNL operation and administrator U Aung Thu Myint, officials from the MFF and MNL, MNL match commissioners, referees, chief executive officers of clubs, team managers, coaches, media personnel, and officials.First, MNL CEO U Soe Moe Kyaw greeted and thanked attendees for joining the meeting.He said there have been strengths also as weaknesses within the 2019 Myanmar National League which the 2020 season must be made better by overcoming the weaknesses seen within the previous season.“Though there have been some weaknesses, the competition was intense. The championships couldn’t be predicted until the tourney concluded. The teams that did not advance another level could also not be predicted,” he added.U Soe Moe Kyaw also expressed because of the participating teams and sponsors who, he said, were important supporters of the tourney, especially the title sponsor MPT and broadcasting sponsor MySports.

The club teams also are expected to urge more assistance because the AIA and AYA financial groups are providing some sponsorship, he said. U Soe Moe Kyaw also urged the clubs to undertake their best to enhance the league and said the chief members try to form the clubs stronger. Then, MFF general secretary U Ko Ko Thein detailed the international competitions during which team Myanmar participated last year, financial matters of the MFF, and youth football leagues planned for the approaching year. Thereafter, director of the Referee Department, U Tun Hla Aung, explained plans for training better referees and new football rules, and MFF medical chief Dr. Aung Kyaw Oo explained the medical check-ups for players and shared medical knowledge with clubs.Later, AFC match commissioner U Tun Tun Aung explained the strengths and weaknesses of the last season. Ayeyawady United have signed former Rakhine United midfielder Thaw Khant Oo on a two-year contract, consistent with a press release released yesterday by the football club.

He has now moved to Ayeyawady United.

Thein Than Win is currently playing because the reliable defender for the Myanmar National Team.

Myanmar Football Federation’s medical check-up for the footballers, during which Ayeyawady United FC was examined yesterday. With the rules from FIFA and AFC and professional criteria, the check-up are being made to stop overtime among athletes and to enhance their ability.The medical check-up are going to be alternatively provided to the clubs until 24 December.
